1982
TR3 Cole
This
Cole boat with wing was a complete boat when it
arrived at my shop. It was powered by a 454 Chev
with Berkeley jet drive. The boat was disassembled
and then the jet pump hole in the transom and the
bottom were filled. The boat was turned upside
down and the bottom was trued and laid out for the
installation of the rudder box, strut, and fin.
After installation of the bottom hardware, the
shaft hole was drilled and the hull was turned
right side up. All new mounting hardware was made
along with full length engine mount rails. Engine
and V-drive were installed with new hull and
engine wire looms, new gauges and seating. All
fuel and water hoses and fittings were replaced
with aircraft style wire braid hoses. The wing was
then installed and the boat was then seen in the
1994 Portland Boat Show. The complete restoration
was $18,000.
