Restorations

This hull is a
1975 Raysoncraft V-bottom jet hull that I built as
a V-drive
with a 351 Ford engine. It was so nice when
I used it in the
1993 Portland Boat Show that I just restyled the
seating.
Porsche
Boats
These boats are made in England. Styled like the
Porsche Boxeter car, they come
complete, or without the engine or jet pump
installed. They were designed using 4.3
Chev engines with Berkeley J.E. pump. This boat
arrived at my shop without an
engine or pump. I installed the J.E. pump along
with a 350 c.i. 350 h.p. tuned-port
Chev. It also has nitrous oxcide system installed.
75 m.p.h. is easy. The cost of
restoration was $5,300. It went into my space at
the 1998 Portland Boat Show.
1969 Aqua Craft
This
boat arrived at my shop stripped of all parts but
was already painted purple
and black. I installed new bushings and all of the
steering pulleys, installed
new bushings in the strut, rudder box and prop
shaft seal.
The boat was then reassembled starting with
installing steering system, aluminum
engine stringer covers and full length aluminum
engine mounting rails. New stainless
fuel tanks were installed with new fuel filters.
After rebuilding the v-drive, it was reinstalled
along with the prop shaft and rudder.
All of the cavitations plate control assembly's
were rebuilt and reinstalled in the hull.
Next came the installation of all new gauges and
new main wireloom. The small
block Chev engine was painted and all of the
polished engine hardware along with
new engine wire loom was installed. Engine
installation followed with the driveline
guard, throttle peddle and cable and bucket seats.
This restoration was $15,130.
The boat then went into the 1995 Portland Boat
show.
